Capoeira Angola: the Dance-Fight Game from Africa and Brazil

Description

We’ll journey across the Atlantic Ocean, from the origins of Capoeira Angola in Central Africa to the shores of Brazil. It’s a visual folktale show of spins, kicks, flips, live music, and an on-stage movement workshop for students. Capoeira Angola is more than just a martial art. It is a cultural doorway into the world of others both like and different from us. It draws us in through dance, movement, music, song, and stories of distant lands.
