Blues History and Techniques That Will Get Your Students Jammin’

Description

Because acoustic Delta Blues is the basis of all modern popular music, it is a useful teaching tool for music teachers, kindergarten through grade 12. You will be delighted by how easily this American music style can be used to link all periods of popular music. Guitar, harmonica, and electronic keyboard players are encouraged to bring their instruments for Blues History and Techniques That Will Get Your Students Jammin’, an interactive professional development workshop. Everyone will participate in a Blues jam at the end of the program.

Sample Common Core Connection: Music Standard 1.0 Perceiving and Responding: Aesthetic Education: Students will demonstrate the ability to perceive, perform, and respond to music.
