Artist: Alden Phelps
Type: Performances / Assemblies
In this music assembly, Alden serves up more zany songs and zippy guitar-ifications, while students gleefully sing along to ‘Ted the Rhino’ and ‘Be Careful with My Mega-Droid Robot.’ Songs and fast-paced word games explore writing concepts including simile and metaphor and point of view, and inspire the joy of language.

Fun songs that were musically appropriate for pre-kindergarten to second grade, well as great science and social studies connections.

Awesome, active engagement from all students. Every student had a part or job to do. Alden was fantastic! He challenged and motivated every student in a fun and meaningful way.

My class has been so obsessed with writing math raps, songs, and parodies that we now have a scheduled day of the week as performance day. The kids called it Portable Idol or Kids Factor and they have a rubric for me to use to judge them. Thanks for awakening their musical creative side.
