An American Journey Assembly


Experience the impact of cultural diversity on the evolution of American Ballet, especially the Irish, African-American, Latino, and Native American cultures. Students see how classical dance can be used as a means of expressing the rhythms of a culture, or as a way of capturing its history in this dance assembly.

• A table and chair for a tape recorder
• A clean, well-swept floor, preferably wood
• A performance area available one hour prior to performance (multi-purpose room)
• Nearby dressing rooms for change of costumes
• A microphone (if available)
