Artist: Alden Phelps
Type: Assemblies / Performances
In this bullying assembly, using music, singing and storytelling Alden Phelps tells tale of a child who gets bullied at school, and how he stops it, with help from students and adults. The story is narrated by a man who has the unique job of school custodian on an intergalactic spaceship! All the child characters are fanciful blue aliens, emphasizing the fact that no matter what we look like on the outside, we’re all the same inside.

Alden did an excellent job of encouraging audience participation capturing student interest. I strongly recommend Alden. Everyone should experience one of his performances at least once.
Jessica, Teacher, Maree G. Farring Elementary Middle
From start to finish, Alden's performance was just outstanding. The students just loved him. After the performance I had a few teachers tell me how much they enjoyed the assembly. My personal favorite part of the performance was when Alden had the signs on stage for the words to the song for the students to sing along with him. I am not sure that my son knew that Alden was getting him to read, or else he would have not enjoyed the assembly so much. My son, who is 7, told me later that day that, "I am going to miss that guy, he was awesome!"
Sandy, PTA , Dowell Elementary
Awesome, active engagement from all students. Every student had a part or job to do. Alden was fantastic! He challenged and motivated every student in a fun and meaningful way.
