Having worked with Young Audiences for more than a decade, I have had the privilege of sharing Flamenco and Spanish dance with students from all across the city of Baltimore and the state of Maryland.
There is nothing more rewarding or satisfying than to see a student connect with and become excited about what they are learning. Arts-integrated lessons open up the possibility for students to connect with the academic goal on so many levels. These lessons play to the strengths of students because they provide many possible avenues of understanding the subject. It is always a positive experience and I absolutely love, love, love teaching through arts integration.
